You're Not Stuck!

The uneasiness and unrest you feel is purposeful. It signals the beginning of a much-needed transition. God has been sending quiet hints and piercing messages because it’s time to move. It’s time to shift. Believe it or not, you are at the brink of a new season.

You keep telling yourself that you are stuck. But my sister, you are not stuck. You are standing at a crossroads. It’s time to make a decision, but you are afraid. You know what you want to do. You know what you want your life to look like. You know what you are tired of. You know what you are tired of doing. You know what you are tired of settling for. But the truth is, more than the fear of making a decision, you are afraid to choose you!

For so long, you have told yourself that you are incapable of making decisions; especially ones that carried high stakes. So, because you were afraid to make the wrong decision, or make the wrong choice, you allowed others to make them for you instead. And this has become increasingly uncomfortable for you.

God says you are beautiful and wonderfully made but the noise of other people’s opinions has silenced His voice, and sadly, yours too. And now, you feel stuck. Like you can’t move. Like you can’t breathe. It haunts you by day and terrorizes you at night and steals your peace.

Sister, this is not God’s Will for your life.

You are more than a pretty face and more than a well-dressed woman. When He created you, He also gave you intellect and the ability to reason. He gave you a powerful voice; one that should be heard and not silenced! He also hard-wired your heart to desire Him, to seek His counsel and to heed His Word.

Today can be the first day of the rest of your life.

A life where you are no longer afraid to choose you. A life where you are capable of standing up for yourself and no longer yield to the pressure of their displeasure. A life where you choose what is best for you, what will bring joy to your soul and peace in your mind, even if they don’t like it!

You have one life to live. Take back the keys to your life. Know that it’s okay if they do not agree or support your decision. Remember that you belong to God, not them. Your life is in His hands, not theirs. Take back your power. God speaks to you. God directs you. He will never lead you over a cliff unless His hand is waiting to catch you.

Make the decision. Take the leap. They will be strong and so will you. It’s now or never. Don’t miss this window. God’s Plan for your life is non-negotiable. Choose you, not them!
