Will Thou Be Made Whole?

Sometimes we close chapters, exit relationships, shut doors and vow never to look back. We paint on happy smiles, change our hairstyle, and buy a new wardrobe. When people ask how we are doing, we say we’re fine and speak at length about how blessed we are, all while hoping they can’t see the gaping hole in our heart.
Our Father wants more for us.
You see, sometimes we have moved on. We have left the job, left the relationship, moved out and moved on, all of which is good, but have we allowed the Holy Spirit to heal our brokenness and bind up our seeping wounds?
Removing ourselves from toxic situations and toxic people is a good first step, but it cannot and should not end there.
Jesus asked the impotent man a life-changing question. Jesus asked, “Wilt thou be made whole?” I am always struck by this question because who wouldn’t want to be made whole? But sometimes we settle with getting better when we could be made whole from the inside out. Again, sometimes we move on, but have we healed?
Like many of us, instead of answering the question, we offer excuses. But more than an excuse, Jesus wants our YES! He was offering the man wholeness of mind, body, and spirit. Jesus wanted to heal more than just his legs; Jesus wanted to heal his soul.
My friend, Jesus wants to do the same thing for you. His offer is still on the table. Will you allow Him to bring wholeness into your life? Are you willing to be vulnerable long enough to tell Him exactly where it hurts? (He already knows, but He’s waiting for you to acknowledge it). Lose the pride. Lose the fear.
Why forfeit the amazing future He has planned for you? Take courage and stare that pain, that problem, that heartache, that disappointment square in the face! Exchange the spirit of heaviness for the garment of praise. Receive the GRACE that comes with trusting God. You are beautiful. You are strong. You are capable. You are worth fighting for. Open your mouth and let out a resounding, Yes! and watch what happens next…

Amen! 😊
