Sometimes we feel everything but!
If it’s not one thing it’s another. One dastardly attack after the next. Trials on top of trials. Situations upon situations. Dilemmas on every hand and solutions not easily found. Desiring to do good but regularly confronted with evil. Wanting to build but constantly being torn down…
The struggle is real, but so is God…
The scripture says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54: 17 KJV.
Sometimes we ask, Lord why does it have to be so hard? We are endeavoring to carry out the work He has set before us, but it seems as though the forces of darkness fight us on every side. God has positioned you to be a voice of encouragement, a force that empowers, an inspiration that shines brightly and reveals the light in others. But for every step forward it feels as though you are knocked three steps back.
Because there is no marriage between the vision and the reality you are experiencing, you find yourself not only discouraged but also questioning the validity of your call. Disillusion sets in and you wonder what you are doing there. The enemy will suggest that you are in the wrong place, that you are not cut out for the work, and you don’t have what it takes to be effective. Yet you still feel the conviction to serve, impact, and make a difference, but at the same time you feel defeated.
May I help you? It's important that you not only understand that weapons will form, but that you should also expect them. Ministry is not easy. Obedience to the will of God is no walk in the park. Not everyone will support the vision. Barriers and blockades will appear in the most unsuspecting places…BUT listen, they won’t prosper; they won’t be successful. The weapons may hinder the work, but the weapons are powerless against the Sovereignty of Almighty God.
Despite how it looks, despite how it feels, no matter the obstacle, no matter the height of the wall, God has called you and chosen you for this very assignment. You may feel defeated; the vision may appear to have flatlined but see yourself through the eyes of God. You are strong. You are anointed. You are unstoppable!!!!
The resistance is building spiritual muscle. The resistance is forcing you to rely solely upon God Himself. The resistance is strengthening your stamina to hold onto your ‘why’ in the face of adversity. The resistance is fortifying your ‘Yes’ to God. So, get up from there. Wash your face. Straighten your crown.
And get back to the business of what God has called you to do.
Let them talk. Let them whisper. Let them try to block your progress…
Spoiler Alert...
You win!
