When Someday Arrives Today...

Perhaps it’s always been in the back of your mind but just slightly out of reach, or maybe you’ve seen it, but it was so far off into the distance. Perhaps you’ve dreamed about it, prayed about it, brainstormed, rehearsed it over and over in your head, and quietly thought to yourself, not today, but someday…
You’ve worked hard, served well, and at times wondered if anyone was paying attention. God had promised greater was coming but it seemed as though the opposite was happening in real-time. There were many tears, painful disappointments, diabolical betrayals, treacherous mountains to climb, and vast oceans to cross.
Yeah, the struggle was real. You sat in crowded rooms and felt completely alone, ignored, and at times invisible. You sacrificed beyond the call of duty and remained committed to projects, faithful to God, and loyal to the cause. And even though it seemed everyone around you was soaring to new heights and you were stuck in the same place, you yet clapped and celebrated their achievements but gently said to yourself, not today, but someday…
My sister, God is faithful, and His Word is true.
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints and do minister.” (Hebrews 6:10 KJV) It may have seemed like no one was watching, but God was. Maybe there was little to no recognition and rarely a thank you. It may have felt like your many sacrifices had fallen upon deaf ears and blind eyes, but God took note of even your smallest gesture. People forget, but God never does!
And so here you are, and that someday is now today!
God meant what He said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV) Your someday has finally arrived! It’s your day to shine. It’s your day to celebrate and be celebrated. It’s your day to say, Amen, to the will of God for your life. It’s your day to rejoice. My sister, it’s your day to spread your beautiful wings and fly!
It’s a God-moment. Bask in His presence…
