I Shall Not Be Moved

Oh yes! The devil tried it! Disturbed my peace, had me operating in overwhelm, blindsided by distractions, irritated, frustrated, disillusioned. Had me feeling helpless, hopeless, not a rainbow in sight. Weary in my purpose; couldn’t see God for looking at people. Spiritually fatigue, wondering if I heard God right, wondering if I was up to the journey, wondering if the trial would ever end.
Many nights I asked God, Why???? Why is purpose so painful? Why is obedience met with such challenge? Why do they despise me? Why do they lay traps? Why do they refuse to collaborate? Why is goodness met with hatred? Why the secret snares? Why the daggers? Why God, why?
(I’m so glad He can handle my ‘why!’)
Just when I needed it most, God threw me a lifeline! He sent the Man of God to share a life-changing Word. You see, God’s Word is Truth. God’s Word is Light. The man of God spoke these simple five words: ‘It was all a misunderstanding!”
Hallelujah to God! The release I felt deep down in my soul!!! The clarity. The confirmation. The assurance. The new perspective. The new energy. The new fervor. The new inspiration. The renewed commitment. My God! The peace. The joy. The wherewithal to move forward!
Turns out, everything I viewed as a negative force is actually working in my favor! It was all a misunderstanding! The contrary winds are a divine push catapulting me further into my destiny. The opposition is nothing more than a strengthening exercise, building spiritual stamina, yielding grace and grit.
A renowned Bishop once said, “When your anointing is powerful, your apprenticeship will be painful.” When kings and queens come against you, that means there is royalty inside of you. Sometimes people mishandle what they cannot control. So because they cannot destroy you, they seek to destroy your influence. But if God be for you! And He is!
So, may I encourage you? Lean in. Settle down. Lock into the Word of God. It’s not what you think. It’s not what it looks like. Their evil devices will not come to pass. You’re not going to die. It’s not going to destroy you. It’s growing you. You are becoming!
Drop the pity. Pick up your praise.
Today is a new day fueled with new mercy. Declare these affirmations with me: I am centered. I am determined. I am whole. My soul is at peace. God is with me.
I Shall Not Be Moved.
