But Not Until…

Ever wonder why you constantly seek validation or why you need someone to tell you what to do or what to say? Ever wonder why instead of feeling confident in your decisions you allow others to make decisions for you? If you are not careful, the people in your circle, who should operate as collaborators, will quickly become crutches.
From time to time, we all seek wise counsel, and we should. Situations arise in our lives, and we need wisdom, instruction, understanding and insight. But that is different from always feeling as though you are incapable of making your own decisions or standing in your own truth.

Listen, people can say all sorts of wonderful things about you…how talented you are, how gifted you are, how beautiful, smart, or intelligent you are…but it’s not until you believe that you are all those things that you can actually begin to embody them.
I want you to believe in yourself. I want to remind you that everything God created was good and very good. You are strong. You are more than able. You are valuable. You have the goods. You have a gift. Others may do what you do but they will never be able to do it just like you. You are unique…and God is on your side. Don’t just quote Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Receive it. Walk in it. Believe in it. Stop talking yourself out of being who God created you to be!
You are more than the details of your past. You’re not the same person you were back then. Whatever held you back no longer has the power to constrict or restrict you. One of my favorite Bible verses is Galatians 5:1, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” In other words, you are free to move about the cabin! You are free to be your best self!
So, take back control over your life. Dream again. Stop viewing mistakes as failures and see them as learning opportunities and stepping-stones. Get up from there. Allow the warrior in you to arise! You can absolutely do it, but not until you believe you can!
