Be Open...

Many times, I have said to God, Yes to Your will. Yes, to Your way. And in those moments, I believed those words sprang from the depths of my soul. I knew God’s way is always the best way and I knew God only desires what is best for me. I knew if I trusted His Word He would keep His promises. With Psalm 37:4 as my anchor, I delighted myself in the Lord and expected Him to give me the desire of my heart.

Yet, there was a disconnect.  Although I said, Yes to Your will and Yes to Your way, I still had my own thoughts of how I wanted God to bless me and how I envisioned Him bringing my prayer petitions to pass.

Thank God for the Holy Spirit who began to re-direct my prayers and helped me to re-align my words with the Word of God! I had been focusing on the details of the past and based on the past, I was trying to piece together a future. I was unknowingly about to settle for less than what God intended for me. I had read Isaiah 43 many times before, but this time the passage echoed all throughout my entire being!

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19 KJV) What a powerful, promise-packed, transformative word of God!

In my spirit, I could clearly hear God saying to me, Let It Go! Stop dwelling on the past. I am doing something new, something beyond your imagination. The seeds I planted deep inside of you are ready to bloom! Open your eyes! It’s a NEW season! I am sending water to refresh the dry land and birthing new life in barren places!

My sister, may I encourage you?

Let go of your ‘plans’ and receive the ‘future’ God has created for you! No, it won’t look like what you envisioned. You may have to move. You may have to make a few adjustments. It may not even make sense. But my sister, lift up your head and dry your eyes. God has not forgotten about you. It’s your time. It’s a new season. You have prayed and petitioned God. You have said, Yes to Your will and yes to your way and now the blessing is right in front of you!

Today I pray you will begin to see what God sees. I pray you will be open to receive His will and His way. It’s beautiful. It’s full of color. It’s full of splendor and full of His glory! Yes, you are ready! It’s happening right now! You weren’t buried! You were planted, and now your blooms are blooming. Now seal it with a praise and dance your way through that open door!

Amazing insight: "I had been focusing on the details of the past and based on the past, I was trying to piece together a future." Nothing more powerful than discovering your own "self".💥 (Gerri Rogers)
