Never Mind 'Them'

No, you’re not imagining it. Great things are really happening in your life. God is answering prayers, dreams are coming to fruition and manifestation is apparent. The joy and excitement you feel is palpable. It’s been a long time coming. You’ve worked hard and there have been many sacrifices along the way.

It took a lot to get here. There were struggles, lots of struggles. Although you had passion, you spent a lot of time doubting yourself, wondering if you really had what it took, or if you were even enough. Not everyone around you could see the vision. Not everyone in your circle believed in the vision. And truth be told, sometimes you didn’t either.

But because God is God, and He knows what you are capable of, He sent you on a journey of self-discovery to reveal who you really are, what you truly possess, and most importantly, what He can do through you. There was so much you had to learn about yourself…your strengths, your weaknesses, and opportunities for growth. He had to readjust your mindset and realign your goals to match His Purpose and His Will for your life.

But you got here. You made it. You climbed mountains; the biggest one being yourself. You got out of your own way and finally realized your gift was worth sharing with the world. You finally embraced God’s Will and let go of the fear that held you back, and something beautiful happened.

But to your surprise, not everyone who saw your struggle, who watched you climb mountains, and leap hurdles, shares your excitement. Now they are distant, and some are even critical. Some say you have changed. But never mind them! You are stronger, wiser, better than you were before. You have changed. Your faith in God is deeper than it has ever been. You’ve walked through the fire. You’ve dared to walk on water. You got your feet wet. You have come into agreement with God. You now believe what He says about you.

You’re not the same person you were back then, and don’t you dare think of shrinking back into the shadows. Stand tall. Square your shoulders. Hold your head up high. Adjust your crown and keep on creating. Ignore the negativity. Leave them where they are and don’t even think about dimming your light. If your light is too bright, hand them a pair of sunglasses and keep on shining! It’s your time. It’s your season.
